The Challenge
RMS Recruitment’s North East based team approached Egress Systems in February 2024 looking for a comprehensive time and attendance solution for their 600 staff. RMS were looking for a package to help manage their shift scheduling across multiple sites and automatically calculate overtime and unsocial hours shift premiums.
Keeping costs low per head, the required solution needed to integrate seamlessly with the chosen HR package and provide accurate data for both client billing and employee payroll.
Due to their large employee numbers, and the transitory nature of the deployment of temporary staff, RMS were looking for an easy to deploy app for staff clocking with geolocation tracking.
The Solution
Egress Systems offered the Focus cloud based time and attendance software for flexible roster planning and timesheet calculations alongside the Focus Self Service app.
The Focus Self Service app was ideal for RMS offering easy set-up of geofences at each of the client sites to determine valid clocking locations. Alongside geofences, we also offered the Focus Wave NFC tag for fixed clocking points at specific shift locations.
RMS selected Natural HR from Moorepay as their chosen HR solution, which had already has integration with Focus using Focus’ inbuilt API. This enables absence data to be seamlessly transferred from Natural HR to Focus.
The Results
Following the initial installation and deployment across multiple client sites, operating in prestigious car manufacturing and engineering, Focus has captured over 120,000 clocking transactions for over 1000 staff providing RMS with fantastic data to mine for analysising business performance. Using the flexible report designer options RMS have been able to produce customised reports to fit their unique requirements.
