Egress Systems, established in 2003 by Carl Mouter, began as a part-time venture focusing on door access control solutions. Our first client, Johnson Diversey, marked the beginning of what would become a thriving enterprise in time and attendance solutions.

Key Milestones

2005: A Year of Growth

  • Acquired assets of Torus Software Systems
  • Took over software and hardware support contracts for former Torus customers
  • Zoe Mouter joined full-time to support company growth

2006: Expanding Our Horizons

  • Partnered with HR Industries to market newly developed Focus Time & Attendance software
  • Introduced HRX RFID clocking terminal range

2007: Embracing Biometric Technology

  • Included biometric clocking terminals in our product range for the first time in the form of the Allegion HandPunch and Suprema Fingerprint terminals
  • Started working with and supplying the Suprema product range. We continue to sell and support Suprema products to this day and have built up extensive knowledge in this area

2008: Innovative Remote Solutions

  • Developed an in-house method for communicating with remotely located clocking terminals via GPRS and 3G
  • This innovative solution allowed us to attract customers with previously unmet requirements

2009 – 2013: Securing Major Contracts

  • Landed significant hardware support contracts, including Kuehne + Nagel Ltd
  • Expanded client base to include XPO Logistics and GXO Logistics

2014: Integration Milestone

  • Achieved our first integration with a major HR Application – CascadeHR
  • Secured Howarth Timber as a client

Recent Developments

  • 2016: Began providing cloud/hosted software solutions
  • 2022: Launched new web browser-based Focus net solution
  • 2023: Released the first Focus App for iOS and Android devices

  • 70 hardware support contracts
  • Processing data for approximately 45,000 employees
  • Average of 368 employees per contract
