The Challenge
With 200 staff at their food production site at Gorton and plans for expansion to 300 staff, Inspired Global Cuisine approached Egress Systems in mid-2021 to refresh their ageing time and attendance solution. Specifically looking for RFID card-based terminals, the ideal platform would interface with Sage HR and produce automatic fire muster reporting.
The Solution
Inspired Global Cuisine were already comfortable with RFID-based clocking and selected our on-premises solution, Focus Enterprise. As a large factory site, fire roll call was key, so the clocking terminals offered interfaced directly with the fire panel for automatic fire muster reporting.
Having worked with Sage HR previously, integration with the platforms API was already possible with Focus Enterprise. Absence and employee data was automatically transferred from Sage to Focus, eliminating the need for any double entry or timesheet inaccuracies.
Inspired Global Cuisine had both day and night shifts with clocked breaks and multiple overtime rates, which Focus easily accommodated in the shift rules. A bespoke payroll export format provided precisely the data output required by their outsourced payroll team.
The Results
Following the successful implementation of Focus Enterprise, IGC recommended Egress Systems at the end of 2022 to their sister company, IRC Cucina Manufacturing Ltd, for their 50 staff, again with Sage HR integration.
Cucina chose our cloud-based Focus Net solution. Once Inspired Global Cuisine saw the benefits of the modern online interface, they swiftly moved their solution onto our cloud platform in 2023. This enabled IGC staff to work from home by accessing the software from any browser and facilitated easy deployment to new staff.
